Handi-Snacks (x2)

Product: Handi-Snacks Mister Salty Pretzel 'N Cheez
New! Handi-Snacks Graham Cracker with Apple Dip
Company Claim: I don't think they claim anything...
Price: $1.50 on sale at Giant, Grahams cracker one from Walmart, can't remember the price
Nutrition: both 90 calories per tray.
Pretzel: 3.5 grams fat, 0 fiber, 1 gram sugar
grahams cracker: i'll check later...

Pretzel: The cheese dip is yummy. In fact, I always eat all the cheese sauce with only 2 pretzels. So, I'm left with he pretzels, which seems okay, since pretzels are yummy (at least Rold Gold ones are). But THESE ARE NOT. They are really dry and flavorless, which is probably why they gave the cheese dip with it. Still, that's not excuse! Pretzels are nothing but flour and salt, how can they mess up?!
Graham Cracker and Apple Dip: Okay, I was excited to see these at Walmart. but i was also skeptical. I feel skeptical about everything strange I see at Walmart. The package said this was new, but I had the strange feeling that they were REALLY old and just on sale because no one wants them. But I bought them anyways.
I think they are old, because the plastic cover over the apple dip was puffed up, like there were bacteria producing gases inside. For the taste, the graham crackers were average. they tasted like normal, nothing special graham crackers. The apple dip was kinda rancid. I donno how it's supposed to taste, but there was definitely a foul sour note. I was like really sweet and somewhat syrupy apple sauce. Overall, it was just too sweet for me. Good thing it's only a small amount.

Stacy's Naked Pita Chips

Yes! it's another product review! and it's Junk Food!

Product: Stacy's Naked Pita Chips-1 oz bags
Company Claim: "Baked. Simple Naked, Nothing but Sea salt"
Price: $3.69 ($2.69 w/ coupon) at Whole Foods Market for 6 bags
Nutrition: 130 calories per bag, 5 grams fat, 2 grams fiber

These are really, REALLY good...so naturally, the small bags prevent overdosage. ^^Again, I pack these as part of my lunch, so the small packaging is convenient. I was really excited to see these single served bags cuz I'm too lazy to portion out my own. 1 oz may seem like little, but these pita chips are thick and alot harder then potato chips (it's a good thing). they require a bit of breaking and chewing so one bag goes a long way.
The only thing is that they are a bit salty, so your mouth gets pretty dry after eating a few. In my opinion, pita chips are WAY better then potato chips or tortilla chips or weird root vegetable chips, or etc.
so...ENJOY

Immaculate bakery's CUTE LITTLE COOKIES

First review...I'm doing cookies. Why? Because they are in my cubby and cookies are yummy. These are Immaculate Baking Co.'s organic kids cookies.

Company Claim
: "A better cookie for kids"
Price: $4.99 for 8 1oz bags (at Target)
Nutrition: 100-110 calories per bag, 3-4 grams fat, 8-9 grams sugar, 1-2 grams fiber

These mini cookies come in three flavors-Choca Doodle Doos(Chocolate chip oatmeal), Doohickeys (oatmeal raisin), and Hunka Chunka Chocolate (Double Chocolate chip) There are 5 cookies in each bag, though they messed up on the packaging and gave like 8 cookies in one of the bags. Each cookie is pretty much bite sized, but you can easily split it into two bites to prolong the experience.
Overall, the cookies were excellent, considering they are nutritionally sound for a cookie and they are so small. (i always think small cookies are harder to make) Like the company's claim, the cookies are moist. However, they are not chewy...just moist. I found the oatmeal raisin to have the best flavor-they taste like the real deal. The chocolate chip oatmeal was a little redundant of the oatmeal raisin, but without the wonderful spices. The double chocolate kinda left a floury aftertaste.
I like the small packaging cuz it makes it easy to pack into lunches and eat on the go. They are a yummy sweet treat and a worthy swap out for fatty cookies.

First and Formost

First things first...I cook, I eat, I get bored very easily. Mostly, I make simple Chinese dishes for my family. but there are the rare occasions well I'll whip out a whisk and bake some crazy concoction.
My posts are most likely not going to be very consistent since this is a trail blog...aka. I don't know what I'm doing, it's really late at night, I don't think I'm thinking straight. In fact, I don't know how I came up with the blog name. (I just pulled it out of my butt)
